Truth and Consequences
A civic accountability project for Oklahoma.
We use the Oklahoma Open Records Act to bring public information into the public. When agencies have stories to tell that they'd rather not, we ask them, formally, to tell us anyway.
What we do
- File public records requests with Oklahoma state and local agencies.
- Publish findings of public interest.
- Share with journalists when stories deserve broader reach.
The Open Records Act (51 O.S. § 24A) is a powerful, underused tool. Every Oklahoman has the right to ask. We're asking.
